For beautiful skin and a healthy body you need the right hydration, as this is a very important factor, especially in summer. Pregnant women, children, the elderly and athletes need to consume more water if they want to keep their skin in the best conditions during these summer months.

Keys to combat dehydration:

  • it is advisable not to wait until thirst is due to you, because, once you are thirsty, the body indicates that the dehydration process has already begun. Only then will you feel thirsty and this should be avoided.
  • try to consume at least 2 liters of fluids per day. They can be consumed with drinks or food. The main drink is water, because it does not contain additives or caloric content. Besides water, you can also consume: vegetable drinks, infusions, natural fruit juices, etc. It is not recommended to drink alcoholic beverages, as they do not respond to heat and can cause dehydration.
  • the best foods that can maintain proper hydration are fruits and vegetables. The fruits can be the following: watermelon, pineapple, tomatoes, plums etc. And some vegetables can maintain proper hydration. These vegetables are: salad, mushrooms, spinach, asparagus, etc. To avoid dehydration, you must consume these foods.
  • whether you go to the gym or run, hydration is essential because it is the mainstay of the body. Hydration should be done before, during and after training. The sport causes the elimination of water from the body and mineral salts and for this reason it will be necessary to increase the dose of liquids. It is not advisable to go for workouts or running in the peak hours of summer.
